Lush Review

I decided to do a review on Lush as some of you may have seen my video already. It's taken me a while to get through all these ammmazing products, but it's been well worth it. I started as what everyone calls a "Lush virgin" only 6 weeks back, I am now a fully fledged addict. I decided to become not only a dedicated customer but hopefully a member of staff if I get an interview after handing in my CV.

I not only love the products, I like how each one is hand-made, designed by the staff which then gets a sticker on each of that particular product with their name and face on, but to top it off NONE of the products are tested on animals. ALL the products ingredients are natural right down to the cruelty free palm oil. This company also uses little or no preservatives or over use of packaging their items from warehouse to customers hands. All the items added to the product are vegetarian and nearly all are labelled suitable for vegans.

The part I love the most is the fantastic and helpful customer service, free samples when you'd love to test something or spent a certain amount, they offer a type of packaging that you can recycle and even gain freebies for when bringing them back to the store. Every item gets labelled when requested and has the use by date on the bottom! Now that's fresh!! Check them out for yourself's in all international countries at www.lush.co.uk.

The Comforter Bubble Bar:

Colours: Hot pink and Creamy white swirls

Scent: Strong fruity blackcurrant

Ingredients: Cypress oil, benefits of toning and antiseptic qualities

How to use:

Crumble half or a full bar under running warm water to create a soft very bubbling pink bath.

Personal opinion: One of my all time favourite bubble bars and the most popular of Lush product ranges. I have bought this one 3 times now and absolutely love it. It turns the water pink and soft with lots of fluffy candy scented bubbles.

Price: £3.95/200g.

Bathos Bubble Bar:

Colours: Purple with green B on top

Scent: Strong clove fragrance

Ingredients: Rose, Violet, Jasmine & Ylang Ylang

How to use:

Crumble half to one full bar under warm running water into bath for a fluffy bubbly purple you time.

Personal Opinion: Felt the clove smell was a little over-powering but I still liked the bubbles and the after scent, plus it had a small amount of glitter in too :)

Price: £2.50/100g

Pop in the bath

Colour: Blue with pink flower/green with pink flower

Scent: Floral, light, feminine, perfume fragrance

Ingredients: Mandarin Oil, Lemon Oil, Orange blossom

How to use:

Crumble in hands under warm running water, sit back, relax and let the scent uplift you.

Personal opinion: The blue for me is better than the green because of the colour of the water added with the fluffiest bubbles ever. I love the pretty design on top and the gift set is just as amazing as a present for any flower power chick.

Price: £2.70/100g

Ma Bar:

Colour: Brown and white with brown sugar cube in middle

Scent: Toffee, caramel and creamy chocolate

Ingredients: Cocoa powder, Sweet wild orange oil, bergamot oil

How to use: Crumble under warm running water until soft and creamy bath appears.

Personal Opinion: I picked up this bubble bar after seeing it on the Lush website and couldn't resist trying it out. After all a girls best friend is chocolate and to top it off with toffee is an extra treat! I loved the smell and look of this bar, it was originally made for Mother's Day but became so popular they couldn't discontinue it!

Happy Blooming Bath Melt

Colour: Pretty pastel pink

Scent: Cherry bakewell tart and cocoa butter

Ingredients: Passion flower seed oil, Calamine powder, Dried cherries, Cocoa butter.

How to use:

1. Drop in the bath if you are planning to soak for a long time and leave to melt away.

2.Cut into sections (can be used for 3 seperate baths).

3. Use as an ordinary soap in the bath before shaving or after exfoliating.

Personal Opinion: I absolutely LOVE this bath melt, it smells like a cake shop. I used it after shaving on my legs and it made my skin so smooth and silky and the bath water had a soft glaze to it which moisturises so well. Once it's in the bath the texture is like a melting chocolate bar. Bliss.

Vanilla fountain:

Colour: Soft banana yellow with a hint of cream

Scent: Very vanilla

Ingredients: Sandalwood, Vanilla & Jasmine.

How to use: Drop into bath and watch it fizz and spin for a good few moments, then sink into a light vanilla soak.

Personal opinion: I'm a big fan of vanilla scents, so it's pretty hard not to love this bath bomb, it's got a real vanilla stem in the top and reminds me of ice-cream sundae's.

Cost: £2.99/110g

Think Pink bath ballistic:

Colour: Soft pink with 3 coloured flowers embedded in the side

Scent: Floral light perfume fragrance

Ingredients: Neroli Oil (very expensive), Vanilla & Lavender

How to use: Drop in the bath and watch it roll and fizz until the flowers float on the surface

Personal opinion: I love the colour and sweet petals on top, however I didn't smell much of the vanilla as the perfume scent over-powered it, but it's such a beautiful design you can't help but smile, with the light notes of lavender it made me all dreamy.

Cost: £2.30/90g

Space Girl:

Colour: Lilac with hints of gold and red glitter

Scent: Parma-Violets sweets and lilac flowers

Ingredients: Grapefruit Oil, Almond Oil & perfume.

How to use: Drop into the bath and listen to the popping candy inside fizz away on the surface of the bath as the glitter floats around the sides.

Personal opinion: I like the colour combination of the glitter and the lilac with the fizzing popping candy inside. It was like being a child again listening to each one pop and wondering where the next one's going to come from. The smell is definitely parma-violet sweets and a hint of almond.

Cost: £1.85/125g

Dragon's Egg

Colour: Creamy speckles with sections of yellow, orange, green & purple.

Scent: Zesty lemon with a soft sweet base.

Ingredients: Bergamot Oil, Gardenia Extract & Lemon Oil.

How to use: Drop into the bath gently. It takes around 10-15 minutes for it to fully disperse which is longer than the usual bath ballistics. This has to be my ultimate favourite of all time, it's NEW and I LOVE it. I could write about this product forever, I would recommend it to EVERYONE to atleast try once. It's like having a bath with a cute little pet growing before your eyes. It fizzes a beautiful foamy orange and yellow swirl with glitter pieces slowly following in the same motion. It then changes colour slightly as it continues to slowly spray out more foamy bubbles like a dragon breathing smoke. Suddenly it slowly cracks open to reveal little round balls of jelly that look like the inside of a birds egg when it splits. SO cute! I almost cried watching this. Definately worth the money.

Fizzbanger:

Colour: Yellow with light speckles

Scent: Lemon & Toffee Apple

Ingredients: Cinnammon, Petitgrain, Ylang Ylang Oil.

How to use: Drop in the bath and let it fizz away into a lather.

Personal Opinion:

Absolutely amazing, this is the closest thing to the Dragon's Egg you'll get. It's got the same style foaming and fizzing but with a softer marshmallow slow release of foam. It's yellow to begin with and turns to a beautiful turquoise-blue hue. The smell is delicious and it made me want to stay in the bath even longer and keep watching the colours move around each other. The size is fabulous for the money and I will be buying this again and again for times to come. I think this would make a beautiful gift for anyone colourful in your world.

Each peach (and two's a pair)

Colour: White and creamy

Scent: Peach with a hint of lime

Ingredients: Shea Butter, Lime, Mandarin, Orange and Mango Butter.

How to use: Gently glide over the skin after a shower or bath instead of using a body cream and you'll be soft and silky for days. You can also use this as a massage bar which is it's real use.

Personal Opinion: At first I felt that it might be too greasy for me, but after using it a few times I've become addicted to this product. I suffer from dry, sensitive skin, after using many products claiming to give deep moisture I almost gave up, but this product is a god send by far. It does exactly what it's meant to do and is enriched with all the butters needed to give a beautiful soft feel. The scent makes you want to eat it, but I wouldn't try if I were you! :) This will last a life time and a half. Make sure to share!

Cost: £4.75/65g

Running to the Embassy:

Colour: A green slightly clay grey colour

Scent: Minty with underlying herbal notes

Ingredients: Spearmint, Fine sea salt and Shea Butter.

How to use: Soak feet inside a tub and gently slide the foot scrub over dry area's. Can also be used as an exfoliant on other areas of the body but use lightly as it could be a little too rough for gentle skin.

Make sure to wash feet thoroughly afterwards as it can leave a soft slippery feel where it's soothed the skin with the shea butter.

Personal opinion: I wasn't keen on the scent in the beginning, but after smelling it whilst running over my feet the spearmint smell is beautifully uplifting and cleansing. I loved the way my feet felt afterwards, so soft and pampered. It's much better than alot of the high street foot scrubs too!

Makeup Entry!

Ok with loads going on this week I haven't had a massive amount of time to do posts or video's on youtube. However, I have just uploaded a video entry for chelsiepoo07's contest which was to create a makeup video look based on the theme of "beaches". I used my inspiration from "gubby" the fish type. It's so pretty, I only had blue eyeshadow and some glitter/sequins so I had to make the most of it. I wish I had taken my white with me but hey it was fun doing it. I look a bit hookerish with so much makeup, my face definately struggles to show effects. I've also NEVER used eyelashes before so it was really hard trying to apply them!! Managed it though haha.

I have lots of idea's for video's, contests etc. My main idea was to promote as many businesses as I could around my area and online. I love trying new products and generally just helping out people to know which shops I think would be great to purchase from and why. I will be purchasing all the items myself, I am not sponsored or anything by any of the businesses so it's all about being a real customer. If I was to ever be sent anything for free to test I would review them honestly still and state how I got them and where to go to get more.

I have my final councelling session tomorrow so I'm mega excited but real nervous at the same time. I'm struggling to imagine me doing lots of hours at work and coping with it. I'm trying though, small steps and all that. *fingers crossed* I'll be walking on my own soon! Yay!

Sweet City Competition

Hey everybody!!
So I've finished my video and just doing some final touches as a few things went wrong, but it should be up Thurs 15th July (technically tomorrow).
It's a competition to win £20 worth of Sweet City goodies. Sweet City is an amazzzingg store I go to in Bournemouth, it's full of so many varities of candy...they even sell DUN DUN DUN Lucky Charms!! I've already purchased 2 boxes and plan to keep buying some every month to treat myself if I have the dosh.

Ok, so I'm not rich, I don't work for anyone but Claire's Accessories and I have extreme anxiety/self esteem issues...so forgive me if my video's seem a little um, distant. It will take me some getting used to. Let me explain the reasons why I'm doing these competitions/etc.

1. I'd like to give other people the chance to sample products and possibly purchase some from the shop in the future or pass on by word of mouth how awesome the companies are.

2. I'd like to give local shops, businesses online and small companies who don't get enough advertising possibly due to location, costs or don't know how to so that they stay afloat in tough times like our recession.

3. I also love sampling products, coming up with new ideas, generally being a customer that can help a company gives me great pleasure and I'm sure it gives other people happiness too. I sure know when I go into a shop and I like what I see, the staff are friendly and helpful and I think the products rock I'm more likely to go back. I also love bargain hunting because not all of us are loaded!!

I know this is alot of reasons but all true, I have a natural creative streak within me, for a while I've searched far and wide for what my "niche" is, what my "purpose" is I suppose, I've wanted to have my own business for a while, but my brain and other reasons make me fail. Which bites, but I accept it and am going through therapy to help me. Don't worry I'm not a mental patient wrapped in white belts, I just struggle with a few things mentally, emotionally and physically, but I'm working on it.

Just think how one person showing a small video clip on other peoples products, idea's on how to buy bargains, where to go for good customer service, we'd save ALOT of our own time getting fustrated and actually being more happy.

IF ANYONE wants any help advertising from my video's on youtube, I will be more than welcome to, if you'd like me sample products for reviews, I'm always free to do so no matter what it is. I really do enjoy doing this, I'm sad enough just to smile at getting an email from strangers with idea's or tips for me too!!

Tick Tock Tick Tock.

Ok, so my brain cogs are in full motion. I have a notepad full of idea's for hauls, reviews, competitions, giveaways,generalised topics, show and tells, the whole lot. It's gonna take me some time as I'm also in the process of organising my life and decorating rooms in the house.

It's great to finally have some followers,new friends and subscribers. I also bought a new webcam today so *fingers crossed* I'll be adding lots of new video's before you know it!

I've also put out a status on Facebook for anyone who liked playing around making gifs, those clips that start video's off that have music attached (no idea what to call them) so hopefully someone can give me a hand. My fiancee's brothers also offered to teach me some editing skills on mac because I would murder the maker of "Windows movie maker" if I could. Sooo not that simple for me.

I unfortunately left my lush products around my parents so could be a while before I get to do a real review on them, luckily she doesn't have a bath there so she can't steal them!! I will also try to take some decent pics of the products so I don't have to steal other peoples or hunt through google.

If you guys have any tips, companies you'd like me to do reviews on, products you want me to try I would be happy to do so. I will purchase up to £10 from a company's website to test products when I have a debit card to do so (which should be soon). So message if you would like me to try yours. And so the beginning is created.

Ok, so I guess this is where everything starts. I've been watching youtube tutorials on everything from hair to makeup to how to bake a cake. I've always wanted to do tutorials of my own because I feel there's alot of girls like me who people can't relate to, I've also found an increasing number of american posters which makes it difficult for us to follow because they have completely different advantages and disadvantages due to where they are located. I thought being in the UK might be able to help a few viewers who may feel a bit left out!

I'll be honest, my nervousness is not from lack of contact with the outside world or because I'm shy, I can be quiet sometimes but very rarely. I'm a blabbermouth. I work in Claire's Accessories which I've stated on my profile so I'm used to talking to customers, selling products and giving advice even in ear piercing and makeup. The thing I'm scared of is actually one, my smile, I have a MASSIVE phobia of the dentist and therefore I have struggled to stay smiling because my teeth are seevvvverreeelly over crowded. It bothers me alot because I'd love to smile in my future wedding pics or when I'm genuinely happy but I usually hide it under a closed mouth smile which is less exciting to see! So I excuse the fact I may look grumpy. Secondly is because I struggle with getting the right words across. I have whats called "fibro-fog" and it's from a condition called "fibromyalgia" (google if unsure) and it fustrates me on regular occasions when I have a brain thats super fast but a signal thats super slow to my mouth. However, I'm still excited to help others ;) So please follow me on my road to crazy. Thanks guys, I'll keep posting as often as I can.
